Industry Agency Chief Takes Mooring Ropes
In line with all expectations, the management upheaval is being staged for United Shipbuilding Co. Yesterday, chief of the president’s administration Sergei Naryshkin agreed on the candidacy of Federal Industry Agency head Andrei Dutov as the future president of that company. Today’s supervisor of the country’s shipbuilding Vice Premier Igor Sechin hasn’t participated in the process of personnel movement at that corporation.
Russia’s Federal Property Agency, Rosimushchestvo, proposed to the Kremlin this week Federal Industry Agency chief Andrei Dutov as the president of United Shipbuilding Co., said a source with Naryshkin’s office. The appointment was initiated by the RF Industry and Trade Ministry, and Naryshkin has agreed on that candidacy, the source specified.
The procedure for appointing the chief of United Shipbuilding Co. differs from the one generally in force for strategic companies with the 100-percent ownership of the government, said a source with the ministry. “Usually, the chiefs of those companies are approved at the government’s level, but United Shipbuilding Co. hasn’t been added to the list of enterprises subject to those procedures,” the source explained. “So, we acted under the pattern applied to other companies.”
In Rosimushchestvo, they said that Dutov could be appointed to the office in the nearest days. Dutov told Kommersant yesterday that he proceeds with his work at Federal Industry Agency, which liquidation hasn’t been set into motion yet. The current president of United Shipbuilding Co. Yuri Yarov declined to comment on the issue.
