Putin Driven to the Kremlin Wall
Envoys of Moscow public organizations have urged President Vladimir Putin to rule the country after the expiration of presidential authority. Very soon, For Putin All-Russia’s Public Movement will hold a constituent assembly to word, on behalf of the nation of course, the proposals for new power configuration topped by national leader Vladimir Putin.
Representatives of Moscow public organizations met yesterday in October Hall of the Union Council. The result of their get-together was the address to Vladimir Putin, urging him to remain “the country’s national leader” and “to actively affect both domestic and foreign policy” after the presidential elections of 2008.
Similar meetings of initiative groups have gained momentum in the last decade of October. Some of them advocate the third tenure for Putin, others confine to expressing support and warm feelings to him.
On November 15, envoys of such initiative groups will gather in the Tver region to set up For Putin All-Russia’s Public Movement. More likely than not, they will meet in Rzev-town, where United Russia has held a few party forums already. The plans are that this constituent meeting of the new movement won’t be publicly attended by United Russia.
The forum of Putin’s adherents will be the second stage of the movement’s creation. It is to be held in Moscow November 21 and 22, i.e. right before the State Duma elections. Putin’s admirers, including the ones from Untied Russia, won’t miss this event and even the president may show up at it. The purpose of this stage is to amass around the party all people who like Putin, including the ones with no warm feelings towards United Russia.
So, the new movement will emerge as a new independent structure able, in case of need, to collect signatures in support of any independent presidential candidate put forward by Putin. Moreover, For Putin Movement will word and present on behalf of the nation the proposals for new power configuration that will be topped by national leader Vladimir Putin and operate after parliamentary and presidential elections in the country.
