Russia has three geniuses, showed the survey of top 100 living geniuses that Synectics released yesterday, October 29, 2007. Mathematician Grigory Perelman ranks at number 9, chess champ Garry Kasparov is the 25th and designer of Kalashnikov submachine gun, Mikhail Kalashnikov enjoys the 83rd position.
The list of 100 living geniuses is jointly topped by Sir Tim, who invented HTTP protocol and HTML language, and LSD creator Alfred Hofmann. Osama Bin Laden ranks at number 43, sharing this position with Microsoft founder Bill Gates and former heavyweight boxing champ Mohammed Ali.
The list includes 43 Americans and 24 Brits, but three geniuses stand for Russia. Mathematician Grigory Perelman is at number 9, along with Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and U.S. composer Philip Glass. Chess player Garry Kasparov ranks the 25th. Small arms designer, Mikhail Kalashnikov is scored the 83rd, together with Australian engineer David Warren, Norwegian writer Jon Fosse, American poet Gjertrud Schnackenberg, Irish writer Graham Linehan, British writer JK Rowling, British film maker Ken Russell and American neurobiologist Erich Jarvis.
