Prana After YUKOS Property in Voronezh
The previously unheard-of OOO Prana, which bought lot 13 of YUKOS assets for 100 billion rubles in May, outbidding Rosneft after three hours of bidding, has taken an interest in Voronezh real estate. It is prepared to buy the minority share in Voronezhnefteproduktavtomatika (VNPA), which it acquired from YUKOS. That company rents out office space in Voronezh. The Federal Antimonopoly Service reported yesterday that it received an application from Prana to buy the remaining 49.34 percent of shares in VNPA on August 23. The federal service has given Prana until November 21 to provide additional information it requires.
After obtaining the YUKOS lot, which has a starting price of 22 billion rubles, Prana resold part of it to Rosneft for 90 billion rubles, including VNPA, the sole activity of which, as of October 1, 2006, was renting out 4900 sq. m. of office space in the building at 4 Kirov St. in Voronezh. The remainder of that 6400-sq. m. building was occupied by the administration of Voronezh Region.

There were a total of 85 shareholders in VNPA last quarter. Prana owns 50.66 percent of the common stock in the company (38 percent of the authorized capital). The other major shareholder is regional businessman Vladimir Valeryevich Gerasimov, who owns 36.2 percent of the voting stock, or 29.4 percent of the authorized capital. Gerasimov told Kommersant yesterday that he has “normal business relations” with Prana. He declined to say whether he intends to sell his share in the company to it.
