Maxi Moralez Comes to Moscow
The Moscow Football Club may soon announce a $7-million contract with Argentine halfback Maxi Moralez, one of the heroes of last month's FIFA U-20 youth championship in Canada. Moscow deputy general director Maxim Motin declined to comment on that information, but Moralez has already bid farewell to fans on the Argentine Racing team's website.
Moralez is the third player Moscow has bought in Argentina. The first was Hector Bracamonte in 2003, and the other Pablo Barrientos in 2006.

Argentina won the FIFA U-20 in Canada this year, and Moralez won the Silver Ball award there. The Golden Ball went to his teammate Sergio Arguero. Moralez is not very experienced however. He has played just 53 matches for his provincial Argentine team. At 160 cm. in height and 54 kg. in weight, he is also smaller than most of his future Russian teammates. Such players often have trouble adapting, especially to the rough soccer that is played in Russia.

Moscow is likely to play in the League of Champions this year. It is in second place in the championship of Russia, lagging behind leader Spartak by three points.
