Billionaire Berezovsky to Remain a Refugee
The British Crown Prosecution Service decided yesterday that it would not press charges against Russian political emigrant Boris Berezovsky for interviews he gave to the British press in April in which he called for the overthrow of the Russian government. This news was announced by an official representative of the British prosecutor.
British authorities have been investigating whether Berezovsky violated the conditions of his political refugee status since the spring of this year. So far, no grounds have been found for depriving him of his current status.
