Microsoft’s Ex-Top Official to Market Russian Software Abroad
ITV, a Russian close-circuit TV software producer, is hiring Vladislav Martynov, former vice-president at Microsoft Corp., as a new chair of the board, the company said Thursday. Mr. Martynov is going to set up the marketing and exporting of ITV’s products as the company plans to gain control over 15 percent of the global software market for CCTV solutions.
ITV plans to gain control over 15 percent of the $1.5 billion global software market within the next five year. Vladislav Martynov, who bought a large stake in ITV in March and entered the board, will be in charge of the project. Mr. Martynov earlier served as vice-president at Microsoft working with independent software developers.

Vladislav Martynov promises to sell software worth $1 million this year, up from $600,000 of sales last year. This statistics look quite moderate when it is set against last year’s turnover of $15 million.

Modern CCTV software can provide solutions to different tasks including crime and traffic watch. ITV earlier took part in Moscow’s municipal program to monitor situation on roads and public events.

Vladislav Martynov says he will use his extensive business contacts in the United States and Europe to promote the project.
