Market for Digital Content Reaches $480 Million
According to iKS Consulting, the volume of the Russian market for digital content was about $480 million. Of that amount, 85 percent came from providing services on mobile communications networks. That segment grew 25.5 percent last year to $408 million. Its prominent place is due to the large subscriber base of Russian cellular operators. Music accounted for the largest segment of mobile content (up to 28 percent), but games showed the greatest growth (50 percent - $45 million).
