Anatoly Chubais Hospitalized
RAO UES of Russia chairman Anatoly Chubais was hospitalized yesterday with pneumonia. The illness comes after a bout of flu. All events involving his participation have been delayed and his responsibilities at RAO have been divided up between his deputies Leonid Drachevsky and Yakov Urinson.
RAO board member Leonid Gozman told Kommersant that Chubais's life is not in danger. It is known that Chubais is in a clinic in Moscow, although the name of the clinic is not being released. It is also not known when he will be released, although hospital treatment for pneumonia usually lasts two weeks.

Besides several business meetings, the laying of the cornerstone of the Shaturskaya district power station in Moscow Region is being delayed due to Chubais's illness, and he will miss a cabinet meeting in Yakutsk where he intended to discuss the development of the regional hydroelectric complex, which is supposed to receive 400 billion rubles by 2030.

Chubais will be replaced in Yakutsk by RAO board member Vyacheslav Sinyugin and construction on the Shaturskaya plant will not be set back.
