Gazprom Neft to Put Up Petroleum for Tender
The first public decision of Alexander Dyukov, new chief of Gazprom Neft, was to change the petroleum sales procedures. Based on his experience in SIBUR Holding, Dyukov intends to sell petroleum in Russia via the tenders.
Yesterday, Gazprom Neft announced the intention to sell its oil and petrochemical products via the tenders on domestic market starting from 2007. The company held the first tenders December 15, and the management was quite satisfied with the results.
Holding tenders for domestic sale of petroleum was the first official decision of Alexander Dyukov, who took over Gazprom Neft after the November ouster of its previous CEO Alexander Ryazanov. The actual decision on selling petroleum will be made by the Tender Committee of Gazprom Neft, though the company hasn’t ultimately determined yet whether to hold public tenders or sell petroleum by close subscription.
Gazprom Neft refused to specify the target improvement in the sales efficiency to be achieved thanks to the tenders. But the company’s spokesman said that the amount put up for tender sale will exclude the petroleum designated for the state bodies and for the own gasoline service stations of Gazprom Neft.
According to Gazprom Neft, it produced 22.14 million tons of petroleum past year; of this amount, roughly 60 percent was sold on domestic market.
