Russian Spy to Fly Away from Canada
Paul William Hampel, who was arrested in Montreal, Quebec, is an elite Russian agent of SVR, Canadian mass media reported Wednesday. Hampel will be deported this week if the Federal Court in Montreal finds convincing the arguments of Canadian Security Intelligence Service.
Mass media of Canada reported the investigating details for Paul William Hampel for the first time yesterday. The court files officially call Hampel an elite Russian agent who had been spying in Canada for more than a decade.

Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has every reason to suppose that a foreign citizen going by the name Paul William Hampel was spying for the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia (Russian abbreviation is SVR), say the files forwarded by CSIS to the Federal Court of Montreal.

Another spying scandal, where Russia is one of the parties, inflamed once Canadian border guards detained a man calling himself Paul Hampel in Montreal’s Trudeau Airport a week ago. Hampel was trying to leave the country by using forged documents.
