President Zaitsev Goes Mad Because of President Putin
Moscow prosecutors rounded off investigation of Ivan Zaitsev’s case. The resident of Pogost-village, Vladimir Region, Zaitsev is accused of insulting President Vladimir Putin and is likely to be sent to the asylum.
The case against Zaitsev was initiated in summer once enforcement bodies spotted in the Internet the data discrediting Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. In 2005, Zaitsev created a web-site with a very illustrative name –“Putin is the Clone of Hitler.”

The site quotes a thriller written by Zaitsev. In the book, Zaitsev described “his secret contact with highest-rank servants of Satan led by President Putin.” Ambitious Zaitsev calls himself “a real president,” claiming that Putin had been cloned from Adolf Hitler’s skull.

Via the web-site, Zaitsev had vowed to overthrow Putin on June 6, 2006 (06/06/2006), but it didn’t run to that. Investigators blocked the web-site and found Zaitsev in one of Moscow asylums, where he had been admitted by personal request.

Now Zaitsev faces charges under the Clause 319 of Criminal Code (Insulting Representatives of Authorities) with punishment ranging from fines to corrective labor. But more likely than not, Zaitsev will be compulsory treated in an asylum instead of being subjected to penalty.
