Access to Sotovik Profits Provided in Court
The most popular telecom site in Russia’s Internet, Sotovik, is in the epicenter of corporate war now. Sotovik General Director Viktor Strizhak and holders of the company are challenging control over the web-site.
Sotovik General Director Viktor Strizhak has attempted to withdraw key information assets from the company, Yusar announced Wednesday. Yusar is the rightholder for Sotovik’s domain name, database and trademark.

Mr Strizhak has illegally seized passwords that provide control over www.sotovik.ru and paralyzed the web-site, Karina Novikova, who stands for 75 percent of Yusar holders, said promising to go to the Arbitration.

Emerged in 1998, Sotovik.ru has the daily audience of 50,000 now. It leads in the Cellular Communication category of Rambler`s Top 100 Rating. The annual sales are $1 million, according to Novikova’s estimate.

The conflict in Sotovik is very illustrative, the analysts say. Raider technologies are penetrating into Russia’s Internet along with increasing attractiveness of its resources. The battle won’t end soon, they predict.
