RTS Plays in Advance
The RTS exchange has suspended quotation of common and preferred stocks of Rosneft’s 5 subsidiaries. The decision was made after the oil giant had decided to file for the business activity half for the companies. Rosneft says the exchange suspended the quotation of their subsidiaries’ stocks at its own initiative.
The RTS halted the trading of shares Rosneft’s subsidiaries on the RTS classic market and excluded them from RTS Board. Among these companies two are quite liquid – Purneftegaz and Sakhalinmorneftegaz. The decision to suspend quotation was made following “the information about directing the documents for the record inclusion into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities about the Organizations’ business activity termination.”

Rosneft, however, says that the RTS took the decision at its own initiative, and the company has not sent any requests to suspend the quotations. The oil company confirmed, however, that they had filed for the business activities halt of the subsidiaries.

The MICEX will be trading these securities on Friday. The exchange’s press service said that they would announce the suspension of trading Sakhalinmorneftegaz and Purneftegaz’s stocks the same day.
