Russians Get 4 Gold Medals at ISU Grand Prix
Russian skaters won six medals (four gold ones, a silver and a bronze) at the 5th ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix in St. Petersburg.
Russian figure skaters have set a record at the St. Pete’s Grand Prix claiming gold in all four events of the competition.
Evgeny Plushchenko collected the men’s title, Irina Slutskaya won the women’s competition, Tatyana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin were the first in pairs, Tatyana Navka and Roman Kostomarov got the gold in ice dancing. This Grand Prix is the last for Russian skaters as none of them is going to Japanese NHK Trophy, the last Grand Prix of the season. Nevertheless, almost all Russian top skaters will perform at Grand Prix Final in Tokyo starting on December 16. Evgeny Plyushchenko has not confirmed his participation yet.
