Inna Khodorkovsky Granted Three-Day Meeting
YUKOS former CEO and today’s convict Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who is at the very beginning of the eight-year sentence in Krasnokamensk colony YaG 14/10, was allowed yesterday, October 25, 2005, the first three-day rendezvous with his wife Inna. Wasting no time, Inna went to her husband at once, reinforced by a frying pan, sunflower oil and potatoes.
All trifles notwithstanding, Inna Khodorkovsky managed to face the gates to detention colony YaG 14/10 exactly half an hour before the scheduled start of the meeting. The wife of the former oil magnate had four big check bags of China’s make that are so popular with small retailers in Russia, two big leather grips and Chanel rucksack. The contents of one of the check bags were significant – 5 kg of potatoes, 3 kg of cabbage, 3 kg of carrot, 2 kg of onion and other greens. The bag also comprised two frying pans, sunflower oil and a pack of dishwashing sponges.

“My husband is fond of plain food made of simple foodstuff,” Inna said. “Not the components but well-cooked dish is the main thing for him. Believe me, a lot of various tasty dishes could be made out of foodstuff I’ve mentioned.”

Pursuant to the colony’s rules, each day of the meeting costs 200 ruble a person, i.e. 600 ruble for three days allowed to the Khodorkovskys. In the end, Inna Khodorkovsky took 1500 ruble to be on the safe side in case she is to pay up her husband’s days of the visit, and pushed a red button close to the entrance plate reading “The Meeting Inspector.”
