Timoshenko’s Daughter Marries Death-Metal Singer
Daughter of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, Yevgenia and singer of British heavy metal band Death Valley Screamers Sean Carr wedded in Kiev yesterday, October 2, 2005.
By hearsay, the 25-year old daughter of the former prime minister of Ukraine met the 36-year old Yorkshire death-metal singer Sean Carr in Egypt and was impressed by long hair of the rock player coupled with a picturesque tattoo on his belly.
The couple actually planned to wed in one of the U.K. castles, but then Yevgenia and Sean decided in favor of the Orthodox Vydubitsky monastery in Kiev.
On Sunday, the journalists and onlookers crowded near the monastery. Volkswagen Beetle that was decorated by the flag of Ukraine and two black Chaikas with Sean Carr in one of them appeared at around 1:00 p.m.. Yulia Timoshenko arrived in a black Mercedes. She let her hair down and wore a tight light brown dress with a flower print.
Yevgenia came by a white Chaika accompanied by her father Alexander. The bride wore a white tulle suit of a long tight skirt and a top. The bridal veil was concealing a tattoo on her right shoulder.
The wedding lasted for an hour. Sean Karr, who was christened by an orthodox priest in Panteleimonov monastery not long before the ceremony, wedded Yevgenia Carr, as Yulia Timoshenko’s daughter changed her surname when she and Sean got married by license on Saturday.
After the monastery, the bride-couple went to be taken photos en route traditional for the Kiev residents with the mandatory attribute of the Dnepr background. The festivities continued in Crystal Palace restaurant where the crowd of 150 guests was entertained by FreeDom dancers, Kobza folklore singers and Sean Carr’s Death Valley Screamers.
The celebration is in full play today, but on Zirka Dnepra motorship.
Yevgenia and Sean won’t leave Ukraine, Timoshenko has been continuously saying. Yevgenia intends to open her own art gallery, while Sean Karr will proceed with death metal.
