Gazprom, Shell to Swap Assets
July 7, 2005. Russian gas monopoly Gazprom is expected to seal today an interchanging agreement with Royal Dutch Shell, Interfax-AGI (Agency for Gas Information) quoted a source familiar with negotiations progress.
As a result of the deal, Gazprom will get the Shell’s 25 percent plus a stock in Sakhalin Energy (Sakhalin-2 operator), while Shell will obtain 50 percent in Gazprom’s joint venture set up to develop Neocomian accumulations of Zapolyarnoe field.

Gazprom and Shell declined to make official comments.
