The Wind of History Blows Our Sail
The Communist Party must be ready to assume power, not miss the moment when the mass social revolt breaks out in the environment of global economic crisis, resolved the 13th Congress of the Communist Party of Russia held in Moscow past weekend. For the purpose of advancing to power, the communists are ready for a temporarily alliance with non-communist forces, including Medvedev-Putin tandem.
Tranquil pleasure was the general sentiment shared by the delegates of the Communist Party’s Congress. Indeed, the communists have always warned Russia’s authorities about the malignancy of “market capitalist model” for the country.

“The wind of history blows our sail,” Communist Party Leader Gennady Zyuganov told the comrades-in-arms when beginning his report. After it, he needed almost two hours to clarify the reasons of “modern imperialism crisis” and prove that “transition to socialist forms of society’s establishment and development” is necessary. According to Zyuganov, “Medvedev-Putin tandem” has stepped “on the thin ice,” forced to balance between a batch of moneybags that are the state-property embezzlers and interests of the remaining society.

Zyuganov called on the Congress “to farther chase over this thin ice” today's authorities that will fall through sooner or later. For some reason, Zyuganov gave no details about the date or the form of impending fall.

Given the above, the Congress passed a new wording of the program that proclaims that the capitalism has been restored in Russia and calls for transition to the socialism of the 21st century. The leaders didn’t describe the advocated future socialism on Sunday, rejecting, however, the path of social democracy. “Social democracy isn’t our way,” Zyuganov was explicit, specifying that it “is unable to attain goals, for which sake the Communist Party was set up.”
