Ulyanovsk Needs Sober Couples to Deliver Patriots
Ulyanovsk Region’s Governor Sergei Morozov proposed to have the Day of Soberness on the starting day of the “Give Birth to a Patriot on the Day of Russia” action. Local bureaucrats were committed to clarify the situation to potential parents, while the trading firms are counting future losses.
By order of Governor Sergei Morozov, September 12 is the Day of Soberness in Ulyanovsk. The choice is by far not accidental. The action, “Give Birth to a Patriot on the Day of Russia,” which will be held for the fourth time there, is slated to begin exactly on that day.

The nation celebrates the Day of Russia June 12, and on September 12, the patriotically-tuned couples of Ulyanovsk are urged to focus on conceiving. The families, where a baby is delivered June 12, get generous presents, ranging from refrigerators to housing certificates. The winner that is chosen by a special commission will be presented with UAZ-Patriot vehicle.

This year, however, the governor declared they will celebrate in a new fashion the Day of the Family Intercourse (that is called the Conceiving Day in Ulyanovsk). Morozov ordered to urge trading firms not to sell alcohol, including beer, September 12 and committed local bureaucrats to clarify matters to future parents.

The business was notified about the new celebration recommendation on August 26, during the meeting in the City Hall. Entrepreneurs predictably backed up this new undertaking of the governor, specifying off-the-record that the result will be the surge in the sales of illegal alcohol and that the number of those poisoned by surrogate will increase that day.
