Explosion Rocked Moscow University
An explosion rocked the main building of Moscow State University (MGU) at Vorobievy Gory at 4:37 a.m. MSK, the RBC news agency reported with reference to Emergency Ministry. The blast occurred at the stares, from storey 14 to storey 15, crashing the wall of 3 sq. m. and breaking the windows from storey 10 to storey 14.
The blast led to no casualties; 1,200 people were evacuated from the premises, where explosion experts are working now in an effort to determine nature and reasons of the detonation.

It is not the first explosion that hit the main building of this university – a self-made bomb of 50 grams in the TNT equivalent exploded in the students’ boarding premises there past November. Another bomb of 500 grams in the TNT equivalent was discovered on the same day on another storey and shot up by the officers.

Today’s explosion occurred just a few hours after the end of Tatiana Day’s celebration. The Tatiana Day is a traditional holiday of students marking the end of the winter session.
