Attack on Iran to Be Catastrophic, IAEA Chief Said
An attack on Iran would be catastrophic, spurring on the nuclear bomb development in that country, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Mohamed ElBaradei told the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Even the deliberations on the possible military action strengthen the standing of those political forces in Iran that insist on the nuclear bomb creating, chief of U.N.’s nuclear watchdog emphasized.

Though the military action shouldn’t be completely excluded as an option, the patience is needed, the official said, calling to end the talks about military action and focus on the search of some solution.

Nowadays, Israel is the sole state that has implicitly threatened Iran with the military attack. Official Jerusalem refused to rule out a pre-emptive military attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, as it happened in 1981, should it finally be determined that their operation is of military nature.

Moreover, Washington is said to be staging an attack. The rumors intensified once another aircraft carrier of the U.S. moved to the Gulf and the strength of the troops in the neighboring Iraq and Afghanistan was increased. Roughly two weeks ago, for instance, The Arab Times of Kuwait released an article saying the United States may attack Iran till April 2007.
