Russia and India will jointly construct a fighter of fifth generation, RIA Novosti reported. The respective agreement was attained in the course of the sixth sitting of the countries’ intergovernmental commission on military and technical cooperation that was held in New Delhi January 24.
Moreover, the parties have sealed a special protocol, laying the foundation for an agreement on joint construction of a multifunctional cargo aircraft, the Interfax news agency specified.
India has also expressed its readiness to cooperate in research, testing and design activities related to the aircraft’s production by Indian HAL and Russia’s Sukhoi.
