$206,000 Stolen When Searching Frenkel’s Apartment, Lawyer Said
Relatives of Alexey Frenkel, the banker arrested in murder of the CBR First Deputy Chairman Andrey Kozlov, have serious claims to the officers, who searched Frenkel’s apartments, the Komsomolskaya Pravda quoted Frenkel’s lawyer Igor Trunov as saying.
”Frenkel’s wife asserts $206,000 vanished from the flat,” Trunov said. “But the withdrawal protocol doesn’t specify the money. Now the investigators will have to add the amount to the protocol and acknowledge the mistake.”
The lawyer said his client is in the Butyrka prison, he is the 19th in the cell. But Frenkel doesn’t complain about his neighbors, with whom he has managed to establish good relations. Authorities allowed to pass some medicine to Frenkel, but refused medical examination and X-ray imaging.
Frenkel currently has three paid attorneys, but only Trunov is allowed to visit him, according to reporters.
