Saddam Hussein’s Half Brother Twice Executed
Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, Saddam’s half brother and former intelligence chief, was executed before dawn of January 15. During the execution, Barzan Ibrahim was first hanged, then, his head was ripped from the dead body, BBC News reported.
Spokesman of Iraq’s authorities didn’t deny the data, specifying, however, that such method of execution wasn’t abnormal, though rarely applied.

Barzan Ibrahim and another aide of Saddam Hussein, former head of Iraq’s Revolutionary Court Awad Hamed al-Bandar were hanged before dawn of January 15. They were found guilty and condemned to execution for killing 148 residents of the Dujail-village after the attempted murder of Saddam in 1982.
