Russia’s Prosecutors Addressed Britain’s Investigators for Help
Under the probe into the death of FSB’s former officer Alexander Litvinenko, Russia’s Prosecutor General Office has addressed Britain’s investigators, requesting them to interrogate over a hundred of witnesses, Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Zvyagintsev told Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
Late December, Russia’s Prosecutor General Office sent an international investigating request of 100 pages to Britain’s investigators, asking them to interrogate more than a hundred of witnesses and conduct dozens of checks, Zvyagintsev said in the interview that Rossiiskaya Gazeta published Friday.
“We have prepared a list of queries, the answers to which we would like to get and made out a list of premises that we think should be seen over,” the official specified, declining, however, to disclose details of the investigation.
Former officer of FSB, but the Britain’s citizen in the past few years, Alexander Litvinenko died in London November 23, 2006. Russia’s and Britain’s investigators are conducting parallel probe in his death, and poisoning by polonium 210 is regarded the most probable lead.
