Pipeline Spills 150 Tons of Oil in Saratov
An accident on the Samara-Lisichansk pipeline resulted in a spill of 150 tons of oil in Saratov Region. The break in the pipe, which is more than a meter thick, occurred near the village of Bratsky, Ivanteevsky District. Five hectares of land were polluted with oil from the spill, reports RIA Novosti information agency, citing law enforcement bodies in the area. Repair work is now underway. The cause of the accident has not yet been established.
