Aeroflot Profit to Exceed $200mln
Aeroflot is expected to step up the 2006 net profit by 5.3 percent to over $200 million under IAS, Aeroflot GD Valery Okulov told reporters today, rbc.ru reported.
The 2005 net profit under IAS amounted to $189.8 million. 2006 revenues are estimated to reach $2.5 billion.

Aeroflot will maintain the amount of net profit next year, Okulov vowed when speaking about the 2007 prospects. But the profit under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) will sink by $128 million to $130 million on changes in accounting policy, the official specified.

In the first half of this year, Aeroflot stepped up its IAS net profit by 78.7 percent on year to $135.8 million; the revenues grew 15.7 percent to $1,309 million.

As to Aeroflot holders, the state-run stake stands at 51.17 percent, and the National Reserve Corp. owns around 30 percent on aggregate via Cyprus Grabor Trading (Overseas) Limited (16.34 percent) and Luxembourg Transinvest Control S.A. (9.76 percent).
