Defense Ministry Allowed Russians to Use GPS
Russia’s Defense Ministry has lifted any and all restrictions on getting geographical values from satellites. From now on, individuals and private firms may acquire pictures of territory irrespective of their resolution and determine geographical values with the accuracy of a few meters.
One of the major aftereffects of this move of Defense Ministry will be the chance to legally benefit from the navigation systems installed in the cars that use the maps of high resolution. Moreover, Russia will be authorized to trade the satellite shots of high resolution worldwide.

Some time ago, Defense Ministry called off certain restrictions already. It cancelled, for instance, the 30-meter restriction for accuracy of determining geographical values and two-meter restriction on the space resolving power of shots made from remote devices that sound the Earth from the space.
