State Duma Passed 2007 Federal Budget
Russia’s State Duma has passed the 2007 Federal Budget in the fourth reading, RIA Novosti reported. The majority of 348 deputies backed up the bill, while 91 attempted to vote it down.
The 2007 Federal Budget sets forth revenues of 6.96 trillion rubles and the spending of 5.5 trillion rubles; the budget surplus is estimated at 1.5 trillion rubles.
The GDP is estimated to reach 31.2 trillion rubles next year, while the inflation outlook is between 6.5 percent and 8 percent. The estimated crude price is $61/bbl, the ruble-to-dollar rate of exchange is forecasted at 26.5.
The 2007 budget will have no additional revenues if the prices for crude continue to decline, said Russia’s Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin. The minister also promised to submit to the State Duma the three-year draft budget in April of 2007.
