Timoshenko Wants No State Russian in Ukraine
Former prime minister of Ukraine, Yulia Timoshenko, who leads a bloc of her name now, opposes introducing Russian as the second state language of Ukraine, Korrespondent.Net reports referring to Timoshenko’s meeting with electors in Vinnitsa.
According to Timoshenko, the key purposes of her bloc at forthcoming parliamentary elections are to avoid diluting votes because of the small but numerous parties, which have recently emerged, and to prevent Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovich from winning the majority.

The bloc should address people calling on them to back up parties or blocs that have force and which intentions are clear, Timoshenko said, adding she doesn’t think a great number of parties in the parliament will make the country stronger.

The second big concern is Viktor Yanukovich, who is the frontrunner for the PM office now, and his rating is going up, Timoshenko said, predicting the fiercest struggle for parliament will be between her bloc and the Party of Regions.
