China Backs Up Russia in Iran’s Nuclear Case
China has backed up Russia’s initiative on nuclear fuel reprocessing. This proposal gives the chance to ease tension around Iran’s nuclear case, said spokesman of China’s foreign ministry.
Russia suggested establishing a joint venture on its territory to reprocess the used fuel of Iranian nuclear plant. Iran’s response was rather positive, though some points are yet to be clarified, its officials said. Exactly the nuclear points were in the center of attention during the meeting of Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani and head of Russian Security Council Igor Ivanov held in Moscow January 25, 2006.

U.S. President George W. Bush has favored Russia’s intention to enrich uranium in the country, according to The Wall Street Journal.
