Champ Belt of Vitaly Klitschko Evaluated at $2.8 Million
Bob Arum’s Top Rank promoter has acquired the rights to hold champ match of the WBC super heavy weights between defending champion boxer Hasim Rahman and challenger James Toney.
Hasim Rahman got the boxing champ title with no fight, as then defending champion Vitaly Klitschko of Ukraine injured the knee a few days before the match and announced he was through with the sport. Therefore, the champ belt of Ukrainian went to Rahman.
Hasim Rahman and James Toney will fight in Atlantic City, New Jersey, March 18, 2006. Bob Arum agreed to pay $2.8 million to promoters of challenger Dan Gussen and Don King, ESPN said.
