Discounts for Travelers Abroad
May 18, Russian railway officials introduced discounts for tickets to European and Asian countries, head of Russian Railways PR department Konstantin Pashkov has told ITAR-TASS today.
According to him, this kind of policy must attract passengers to rail transport and encourage trips abroad in tourist groups. In particular, return tickets to Poland for 6 and more persons will have a 40% discount, to Berlin – 35%, to Bulgaria and Romania –10%. Railway trips will also be profitable for those going to China, Korea, Mongolia and Vietnam, since they are offered with 20% discounts.

Besides, “economical prices” are introduced for passengers going to Germany, Belgium and Bulgaria, those will be fixed rates and discounts for individual passengers and groups of up to 5 persons.

Young passengers are not neglected either. Passengers up to 12 will get a 50% discount, except for Finland where the discount age will be as old as 16.
