The Arrests Begin
A builder who took part in the renovation of Dinamo Stadium has been arrested in Chechnya on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist act of May 9 in Grozny, an official of the Ministry of the Interior of the Chechen Republic told RIA Novosti.
”Police have arrested Lom-Ali Chupaev, who took part in the renovation of Dinamo Stadium in Grozny, in the village of Alkhazurovo in Urus-Martanovsky District,” the official told the agency.
In his words, a set of operative measures is now being conducted with the detainee.
The explosion occurred on May 9 at Dinamo Stadium in Grozny, where a concert in honor of Victory Day was going on. Seven people died as a result of the terrorist act, including President of Chechnya Akhmad Kadyrov, Chairman of the State Council Khusein Isaev, journalist Adlan Khasanov, two of Kadyrov’s guards, and an eight-year-old girl. Commander of the unified forces in the North Caucasus Lieutenant General Valery Baranov was seriously injured.
