Putin Presents Himself with Live Smokies
December 24, RF President invited Britain’s aged British Smokie rockers for the Kremlin New Year celebration popular in the Soviet Union during the 1970s will be singing. Putin did not spare £20 thousand to hear the singers of the famous “Living Next Door to Alice,” The Sun reports.
The edition also mentions that in spite of the fact that in most countries Smokies are considered antique, the band has full auditoriums at its concerts in the former Soviet bloc countries.
Putin is planning to celebrate the New Year’s Eve at home with his family. He said on Thursday that his family New Year’s traditions “were no different from those of an average Russian family.” However, only half of the family will be home this year, Putin added, since his teenage daughters have grown up and would like to celebrate the holiday with friends.
