Anastasia Volochkova to Continue Struggle
April 16, Commenting on the ruling of Basmanny Court, which turned down Volochkova's suit against director of the Bolshoi Theatre, ballerina said that she was tired of the court battles, but would not give up her positions.
Anastasia Volochkova filed a suit in defense of honor, dignity and business reputation after Anatoly Iksanov made public his opinion that it is difficult to find a dance partner for the ballerina for “anthropometrical reasons,” – ITAR TASS reminds.
Volochkova has been off stage in the Bolshoi Theatre for about a year now. She was sacked for refusal to sign a short-term contract, a decision she challenged in a Moscow court that ruled restoring her position in the troupe.
“My rights in the Bolshoi Theatre have not been restored in full,” Volochkova said in an interview with ITAR-TASS, adding than she was not going to “lay down arms”.
