New “Ruslan” Plane Tested in Ulyanovsk
April 12, New superheavy airplane An-124-100 “Ruslan” built by Aviastar-SP Plant in Ulyanovsk, performed its first test-flight .
The carrying capacity of the new “Ruslan” has been increased to 150 tons, while its maximum take-off weight is 402 tons. The airliner is equipped with most modern vehicle-borne radio-electronic devices, which meet all the modern world requirements, and also has oxygen equipment for members of the crew.
It is the tenth airplane in Volga-Dnepr company’s fleet, ITAR-TASS reports.
