Goreglyad Standing for Accounts Chamber Auditor
April 12, Valery Goreglyad, member of the upper house, has been included in the list of candidatures for the post of auditor in the control body answerable to RF Accounts Chamber. The initiative came from the Federation Council Commission on coordination with the Chamber.
Apart from Mr. Goreglyad there are 6 other contenders. However, the profile commission of the Council of Federation has already stated its intention to support the candidature of former vice-speaker of the chamber. The decision on the new auditor of Accounts Chamber is expected to be made at the plenary session of the Council of Federation on Wednesday, April 14.
The vacancy appeared in the Accounts Chamber after Yury Voronin retired from the post in March 2004.
