Transvaal Victims Bring an Action
April 5, Lawyer Igor Trunov, speaking on behalf of the victims of Transvaal dome collapse, reported that they lodged their complaint about the activities of Moscow prosecutor’s office with Zamoskvoretsky court.
He says that March 10, he handed in an application to the Office of Public Prosecutor, asking to recognize victims of the tragedy, “however, appropriate resolutions have not yet been drawn up”. Igor Trunov believes that “this is a gross violation of the victims’ legal interests and rights."
The lawyer explained that victims are allotted a large volume of rights in criminal procedure, thus for instance, they have the right to learn the results of examination, appeal against experts’ conclusions or except them.
