Uzbek Schools in Quarantine
March 31, Uzbekistan Authorities declare that schools and kindergartens will be closed till April 5 in view of recent terrorist attacks and aggravated situation in the country.
This decision was taken by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, NTV television company reports. Officials have not yet given a more detailed explanation of the reasons for closing kindergartens and schools till April 5.

The investigation of terrorist acts that have shaken the country over the past two days is under way. The special investigation commission has been headed personally by the president.

No one has as yet claimed responsibility for the acts of terror, which killed at least 40 people.
