Putin Signs Decree on Perm Territory Formation
March 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a constitutional law on “Formation of a New Subject of the Russian Federation as a Result of Unification of Perm Region and Komi-Permyak Autonomous Area.
This has been reported by the press-service of the head of state. We remind our readers that the new subject of federation will be called Perm Territory.
On March 19, the bill on creation of Perm Territory was passed by the Duma deputies after the residents of Perm Region and Komi-Permyak Autonomous Area gave their voices for the unification of the two regions at a referendum of December 2003.
