Russia Demands to Release Russians in Qatar
March 17, new RF Minister of Foreign Affairs (MID) Sergei Lavrov told journalists that Moscow demands immediate release of the citizens of Russia arrested in Qatar.
"This position was made public yet by Igor Ivanov, when he was head of MID, and the position has not changed since then," Sergei Lavrov stressed.
Let us remind you that the Russians were detained in Doha on suspicion of Zelimkhan Yandarbiev's murder. On March 16, The Washington Post reported that legal procedure might soon begin in Qatar.
