World Bank to Grant New $ 100 Million Loan to Russia
March 3, the World Bank has approved a new loan project to support "Education Informatization" federal program in Russia, ITAR-TASS reports.
The stage lasts 4 years, during which period the World Bank will grant $100 million, and Russia itself will grant $45,44 million.
In the long term, the World Bank's financial support may reach $300 million.
First in line for computerization are the Special Technical Colleges (PTUs) and other professional colleges, including Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools. Over 200 regional and municipal computer centers are to be created in 7 cities and regions of Russia.
Besides, other computer-based study programs will be developed and introduced in the framework of the loan program.
