FSB Confirms Gelaev's Death
March 2, The Federal Security Service of Russia has officially confirmed that one of the Chechen warlords Ruslan Gelaev was liquidated February 28 in Tsuntinsky District in Dagestan.
He was identified by captive fighters and other people who had known him well.
As reported by ITAR-TASS, FSB spokesman colonel Sergei Ignatchenko, "Gelaev was identified by the character of the wound on his leg and his personal things like the special dagger Gilaev never parted with."
