YUKOS and CNPS Sign Cooperation Statement
On February 4, the delegates of YUKOS and China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) concluded their talks by signing the statement of cooperation between the two companies.
The Russian oil giant was represented by YUKOS-Moscow vice-president Alexander Teremko. The Chinese corporation was represented by its president, Mr. Ma Fuchai. Nothing has been reported on the details of talks and contents of the statement.
CNPC reports that the delegates "discussed the matters of oil trade cooperation".

In 2004 YUKOS delievered some 3 million tons of oil to CNPC. Oil was delievered by rail transport. Russian oil giant plans to rack up oil delieveries to China to 12 million by 2006. To do this, it has worked up the project of Angarsk-Datsin pipe-line construction, however this project has not been approved at the level of the Russian government.
