Putin Relegated Saakashvili’s Hanging to Georgian Nation
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin evaded giving direct answer to the question about his promise “to hang Georgia’s President Mikheil Saakashvili for one part”. “Why for one?” the prime minister responded during the annual TV question-and-answer session that he held December 4.
When commenting on the recent war in South Ossetia, Russia’s prime minister said Georgia's authorities had initiated “the bloodbath” there, damaging the statehood of Georgia through it. The nation of Georgia should independently decide on responsibility of their leadership.

The French media reported earlier the scandalous conversation of Vladimir Putin and President Nicolas Sarkozy. Putin was quoted as saying: “I am so Saakashvili hanged for eggs… Why not. The Americans also hanged Saddam Hussein.”

The news service of Russia’s PM confirmed later on that Vladimir Putin was tough when speaking about Georgia’s president but called provocation the reports of French media.

As to Saakashvili, his reaction to Putin’s promise was nervous laughing.
