Russia Will Help India Confront Terrorism, Medvedev Said
Russia is ready to cooperate full-scale in all counter-terrorism issues with India, President Dmitry Medvedev vowed in the interview that he gave to Indian media on the eve of his visit to that country.
In his interview with Indian media, the RF president has emphasized the extremely good, friendly, partnership and strategic relations of Russia and India. He said Russia is ready to help Indian friends to confront terrorism, as this threat is common for all.

Russia unfortunately encountered similar problems rather frequently and the issue of terror threat hasn’t been closed down for the country, Medvedev said, specifying that, therefore, Russia is ready to cooperate in all directions to prevent terrorist attacks, probe into the attack that was recently carried out and create a global counter-terrorism system.

Medvedev also presented his condolences in respect of Mumbai tragedy. There, the death toll reached 171, including foreigners. Indian authorities suspect a group of gungmen secretly backed up by Pakistan.

The United States also stands ready to help India investigate the Mumbai attacks. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that arrived in Delhi on Wednesday expressed the support to Indian nation.
