Current Quotes Are Abnormal, Putin Said
The current quotes of Russia’s companies are the abnormal and unfair event, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced on Monday.
As a rule, the decline in quotes of Russia’s companies results from the fact that the decisions on their purchase and disposal are taken outside Russia “under the criteria that are feebly related to the actual state of affairs,” the prime minister said, adding that the current quotes “are significantly below the real business cost.”
Nowadays, Putin went on, the market cost of a Russia’s company is sometimes below the amount of money kept at accounts of the enterprise. “It is the abnormal event, absolutely unfair,” the prime minister said.
The RF leadership doesn’t intend to limit activities of foreign capital on Russia’s markets, but establishment of really mass class of local investors remains one of priorities, Putin said.
The stock exchange indices posted losses by 3:00 p.m., MSK. MICEX shed 3.88 percent to 587, RTS fell 3.55 percent to 634.
