Economic Coverage by Media Isn’t Objective, Half of the Nation Said
Russia’s media cover economic situation in the country less adequately than the global economic situation, said the respondents polled by the social analysts from the Public Opinion Foundation.
Nearly a half of respondents (45 percent) don’t think the media are objective when covering economic situation in the country, but a third of respondents (35 percent) say they are objective enough and a fifth of the polled (20 percent) cannot answer this question.
At the same time, more than a half of respondents (57 percent) say that, nowadays, the country’s mass media, including television, radio, newspapers, fail to provide complete coverage of the economic situation in the country, while 27 percent are of quite the opposite opinion.
